In October 2021, Sundae became very sick and needed emergency surgeries. The first surgery was for an abdominal blockage, then days later she had part of her pancreas removed. Fast forward to December 2022, Sundae got sick again and needed to be hospitalized for low platelets.

 Thanks to the amazing, beautiful community of people that came together through Sundae's social media (@sundaetheblacklab), we received donations to pay for Sundae's life saving medical care. I will forever be grateful for all the love and generosity we received, and I want to pass the blessing on. The Sundae Foundation was created to give that same relief I received, to those in need of assistance with their pets. We together can save so many pets, and bring about a measure of peace to an already painful, stressful situation for fellow pet owners.
